Frequently Lashed (Asked) Questions
Can eyelash extensions be applied to anyone?
Anyone with an eyelash to attach to can receive eyelash extensions. However, if you have any of the following conditions, schedule a free consultation prior to scheduling a full set to best determine if lashes are right for you.
Extremely sensitive eyes or skin
Eye infection of any kind
Allergy to cyanoacrylate (used in acrylic nails & most adhesives of any kind)
What is the difference between Classic & Volume Eyelash Extensions?
Classic Lash extensions is our signature lash application where the attachment of 1 extension is applied to 1 natural eyelash. The result is an enhanced lash line, yet very natural and realistic in appearance. Volume lash extensions is our premium volume lash application where we apply 2 or more of our lightest lash extensions to 1 natural eyelash. Our Volume lashes offer incredible fullness and last longer than our classic lash application while still providing an enhanced natural appearance.
Who wears eyelash extensions?
Women aged 16 to 88…especially valuable for busy moms, professional women, brides, mature women—any woman who wants to save time getting ready everyday & look enhanced everyday, all day. Women who don’t want to worry about mascara smears or clumps. Women who don’t want the hassle of eyelash curlers.
What are Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash Extensions are individual synthetic, faux mink and silk lashes. They are attached to your eyelashes individually & not to your skin. It is a very enhancing beauty service and you do NOT need to use mascara while wearing these Eyelash Extensions. It is a very meticulous and intense service that requires skill and precision. Once properly applied, these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell even up close that you have extensions on.
I heard Eyelash Extensions will damage my natural lashes.
If the technician is not properly trained and qualified, Eyelash Extensions could possibly damage your lashes–leaving you with ugly “bald spots.” The Eyelash Extension process is meticulous; your results depend first on the skill of your technician and, secondarily, the product used.
Can I wear mascara with my Eyelashes?
Eyelash extensions naturally darken your lashes, your lashes will look vivid and mascara is NOT necessary. Rubbing directly on the lashes, or using mascara remover will weaken the bonding. This may twist the extensions or make them fall out. I strongly recommend that you avoid wearing mascara, curling and rubbing your Eyes or pulling the Eyelash Extensions, however you may wear water-soluble mascara if desired.
What happens if a lash should loosen or become dislodged?
Do not pull on the lash; contact us to make an appointment to have them replaced. As your natural lashes fall out due to the growth cycle, you will need fills every 2- 3 weeks (Classic) or 3-4 weeks (Volume) as your new lashes grow in. As your natural lashes become accustomed to the extensions and with a little practice maintaining the lashes, the time between refills can be extended.
What should I do before my lash appointment?
Remove all eye makeup and clean your natural lashes with an oil-free cleanser.
If you wear contact lens, we recommend removing them. Avoid caffeine and any other stimulants that may cause your eyes to flutter involuntarily. Refrain from curling or perming your natural lashes prior to receiving your full set. *If you come to the appointment with lashes that requires a lash bath, a $15 fee will be assessed during the appointment.*
How do I care for my lashes once they're on?
It can take 24-48 hours for the eyelash extension adhesive to fully cure the bond between your natural lash and the extensions.
Avoid swimming, spas, saunas and tanning on the day of your lash appointment. After the 48 hours, they are able to get wet.
While sleeping, lashes can tangle or flip to the side. Brush through your lashes each morning with a clean mascara wand to reshape the extension and keep them fluffed into place.
Do not use a lash curler
Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face, gently clean around the Eyes with a wash cloth or fingers.
Do not pull on your lash extensions, it may take out your own natural lash as well.
The overall upkeep is very minimal and very easy to manage.
Does Eyelash Extensions damage my natural Eyelashes?
No, not at all!—The adhesive dries very soft on lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. The Eyelash Extensions will adhere to your natural lashes softly and comfortably while not damaging your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out. Please do NOT remove the Eyelash Extensions on your own.
